Christmas has arrived at Seamill Hydro with the grand opening of Festival 2011 on Thursday and a very busy and successful first weekend.
Hundreds of Families turned out over the weekend to enjoy the range of attractions on offer. Lorraine Kelly delighted the crowds on Thursday speaking of her found childhood memories of the resort and her delight in returning and being a part of the opening of such a fantastic family focussed festive event.
The event features an outdoor ice rink, carousel, chairoplanes, swing boats, ferris wheel, coconut shy, bungee trampolines, bouncy castle, rockin' Rudolph ride, Santa's grotto and family pantomimes as well as all of the normal facilities and restaurants.
On Sunday over 450 people attended the three showings of our Pantomime, Pinnochio with rave reviews coming from children and adults alike and almost 200 children visited Santa, despite the chilly wind and scattered showers the fairground and ice rink were also a hit!
This Saturday we are expecting great weather so it is the perfect chance to head down and enjoy our outdoor attractions.
On Sunday we have three showings of Dick Whittington, some spaces are still available but they are going fast so book now to avoid missing out!
