The view from many of the houses bedrooms is
quite breathtaking, with vast stretches of golden
beaches, the huge expanse of the Firth of Clyde and
the romantic Isle of Arran. A perfect place to escape
and relax, Glenfoot offers the finest in rural elegance.
Originally built in 1859 as a private country house,
the buildings and mansion house that make up the estate
of Glenfoot, have for the last century and a half,
remained closed to the public. Now fully restored,
the Glenfoot Estate consists of a mansion house, coach-house
and gate-house set in eight acres of beautiful landscaped
gardens with a small wooden bridge, which crosses
the estates own Gournock burn.
Accommodation is provided at Glenfoot House on a
Bed and Breakfast basis, with all other meals and
facilities taken at Seamill Hydro Hotel & Resort.
Courtesy transportation is provided
between the two
hotels.
