Seamill Hydro is ideally located in Ayrshire on the West Coast Scotland just seconds from the beach and dominated by stunning views of the Isle of Arran.  The Hotel and resort is family owned and operated and boasts a comprehensive range of family friendly facilities and services.

From the fantastic Seamill Hydro Kids Club to our HydroSpa leisure facilities with pool and gym and our fantastic range of Restaurants including fine dining, bistro, pizzeria, tapas and coffee shop Seamill offers something for everyone whether you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a larger family group.

In 1879 Thomas Edison invented the electric light bulb and the earliest parts of the present-day Seamill Hydro were built here on the West Coast of Scotland.  Due to it’s age the original part of the hotel is full of character and period charm.

The bedrooms in the older parts of the building offer stately high ceilings and bay windows with breath taking views over the manicured lawns toward the isle of Arran.

The hotel over the years has been extended and adapted leaving an interesting floor plan on the upper levels, the more modern parts of the hotel were designed to make the most of the hotels fantastic location, right on the beach, and many of these rooms have big windows taking in the views.

The hotel enjoys a constant programme of improvement and decoration, from bold contemporary city rooms to the more traditional country house hotel style, all of our rooms offer:

  • en-suite bathrooms

Our rates include breakfast, which is served in our Aura restaurant, and cater for all tastes from our huge full cooked Scottish breakfast to the decidedly lighter (and healthier) options on our continental selection, fine Italian coffee, Indian tea and a selection of chilled fruit juices will accompany your meal, the perfect start to a busy day.

As we offer such a wide range of dining options we do not offer a dinner bed and breakfast rate and a table will always be available for guests of the hotel* once you have had the opportunity to decide which of our fantastic restaurants to eat in. We also understand that sometimes you will need to work in your room or are just too tired to make it to the restaurant for dinner. That’s why we offer an extensive room service menu with no additional service charges to pay.

Further to the facilities you can enjoy in your room you can also enjoy the facilities of the resort, including the Hydro Spa leisure centre with the heated indoor pool, Whirlpool, Sauna and steam room, as well as the gym featuring leading brand equipment for a complete cardio and resistance workout.
